Puff The Magic Dragon and Mutared are currently having some time in the field. Whilst riding out over the weekend we looked across the field and spotted Puff sitting up enjoying the sunshine. Puff is an Irish Sports Horse who belongs to Emma. He is a sensible fellow and will be used to lead the youngsters and for Emma to hunt and event. Look out for Emma and Puff at the end of the eventing season.

Betty Brook hit the winning post on her 6th start under the former champion Jockey Ryan Moore, who gave her a great ride. Her sucess was not out of turn, havining finshed 2nd on her previous start at Lingfield. A genuine filly who has ever chance of visiting the winners enclosure again.
She also gave Amy her first winning lead up. Amy rides Betty everyday and also rides Penbryn who recently won for us. Maybe she is our lucky charm?
In March Emma had a bad ski accident and sadly has not sat on a horse for a while !. She had a knee reconstuction in April and is hoping to be back in the saddle in June but will probably not race ride again. To help her fitness, recouperation and raise money for Children with Cancer she is taking on the challenge of cycling the 300 miles London to Paris on Spetember 12th. Any support will be much appricated !

With the turf season underway and the grass gallops open on the Heath. We boxed Muhandis and Cookieshake into town on Saturday to work. The horses worked singularly so after a busy week looking at horses at the Craven Breeze Up Sale and Muhandis has worked Nick took the opportunity to watch Cookieshake with a birds eye view!
Cookieshake is declared to run at Folkestone on Tuesday and Muhandis is entered at Brighton on Thursday. Look out for Betty Brook, Bull Five and Echo of Thunder who also hold entries this week.
Penbryn won yesterday at Lingfield Park. Given a fantastic ride by George Baker creating a nail biting finish in a head locked battle to the line winning by a neck. Bringing our total for season to 3 winners from 26 runners giving the team at Brook Farm an 18% strike rate. Penbryn has also visited the winners enclosure a further five times in 2012 which had contributed to 54% of runners visiting the winners enclosure.
Pictured below are Ross Hartshorn and Karen Graham receiving the winners trophy.

joint owners of Penbryn with Andrew Highfield, Toby Osbourne and Nick.
Cut Across had given the team at Brook Farm our second winner of the week in the 1.05pm at Lingfield on Saturday. Given a fantastic ride by Steven Drowe and running on to the line Cut Across' win has upped NIck Littmoden's strike rate to13% for the 2012 season! In addition 60% of our 2012 runners have also been in the winners enclosure!
With temperatures dipping as low as -18 at Brook Farm the team have worked exceptionally hard to keep things going! The March Consignment of horses are primed and ready to leave at the end of next week giving us a lot to look forward to in the coming month!
Muhandis got us off the mark today in the 3pm at Wolverhampton providing Nick Littmoden with his first winner since moving the training operation to Brook Farm!!!!! Wearing a visor for the first time and given an excellent ride by Chris Catlin going from last to first we are all delighted with the result! Partnered by Nick on a daily basis Muhandis is the star of the website and is the horse in the picture with Nick on the right..Even the snow couldn't stop us!

Echo Of Thunder who is jointly owned by Emma and her mother Penny Ferguson and is sponsored by www.thelivingleader.com in which both Penny & Emma are partners. She worked well in December on the gallops in Newmarket which was the first time since her operation.
Emma, who rode her, was delighted with her attitude and very pleased with her first piece of work back after a break. Nick is planning to give her a run on January 18th at Lingfield and then we can plan her campaign.
The Trainers words were " she looks to be a very exciting prospect and Emma and Penny are immensely looking forward to her journey "
