Chris Thornton admits he has been "racing mad" since his childhood. After the death of Sam Hall in 1977, Chris began training in his own right. Since then he has sent out over 600 winners of all types of races, both Flat racing and National Hunt racing. Almost 56% of all Chris Thornton trained National Hunt runners have finished in the first four while 38% of all his Flat race runners have achieved this same feat.
