We have forfeited winners this year to guarantee success in 2009. We have allowed the 2 year olds to gather full strength and health and they will be raring to go in the New Year.
The weakness of sterling will make our winners very attractive to the US market (past horses trained at Kingsdown who have gone on to make their mark in the US include Ticker Tape, Singhalese, Milk it Mick, Ten a Penny and many more) and I look forward to achieving some great financial results for my clients in the year ahead with results on the racecourse and trading stock.
I have yearlings and two year olds for sale currently, for further details, either give me a call 01488 73139 or drop me a line: jamieosborne@dial.pipex.com

Geordieland runs a great race to finish 2nd in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot. Runner up again to the Aiden O'Brian trained Yeats.

Geordieland is on course for the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot next Thursday 19th June. He makes today's title page on Racing Post online at www.racingpost.co.uk

He may have become used to always being the bridesmaid, but he has always had class, and it was just a matter of time before he won a big race, having in the past been second to Yeats in the Goodwood and Ascot Gold Cups. Last year he was second in this race, but now at the age of 7, given a brilliant ride by Shane Kelly, he went on to win this prestigious race.
There was no danger of him being in front for too long, as he simply put his nose in front on the line !
Apologies for the recent lack of news.
I am starting to get very frustrated by the amount of rain we are having. None of the tracks seem to be producing the faster ground that we need for the bulk of my horses, hence April has been poor. May should be good if everything dries up.
I am not running Dubai Princess this afternoon because the ground will be too slow for her. She will go to
I have been at the breeze up sales in Doncaster for a couple of days and have neglected the news.....as you can see! We have had a very quiet week with runners and we only have Borrowdale today and Sub Prime tomorrow. We need the ground to dry up before I will run any more 2 year olds on the grass, it is frustrating but our patience will be rewarded...I hope!
Days of Pleasure finished third yesterday. He did not run well enough for Gay Kellaway! We still have him and unless the handicapper feels like allowing him into a 0-65 he will ply his trade in claimers from now on. No runners today.
Days of Pleasure runs at Kempton today. He probably has it to do to beat
Grand Plan was very disappointing on Saturday. The race probably came too soon for her.
Rockfield Lodge ran well, finishing 2nd and found himself a new home. Michael Wigham claiming him, spending some of the money he won last week!
The going will hinder our plans this week. I have 2 year olds I want to run but not on slow ground.
Bull Market winning last night at Kempton was a pleasant surprise! He was claimed by Ian Williams; hopefully he will do well over hurdles for his new yard.
The Dial House worked well this morning; I hope the ground dries up enough for me to run him next week.
Bull Market runs tonight at Kempton. He has returned to us following a disappointing jump campaign. On his best form he is well in, but it remains to be seen how much of his old ability he retains.
Apologies for neglecting the news yesterday. I was pleased with the run of Grand Plan on Monday; she may well run again on Saturday at Lingfield. I was gutted with Handcuff’s performance. I can only hope that the slower Southwell surface was detrimental to him. He is certainly better than he looked on Monday.
Today we run a three year old called Borrowdale at Lingfield. He is highly unlikely to win.
The soft ground is stopping me from running any two year olds on the grass. We will wait for it to dry up before we release any more.
We won’t dwell on the poor performance of Lascelles last night!
Today we run two horses in claimers, Not Now Lewis at Kempton and Rockfield Lodge at
The weather has halted my attempt to gallop the two year olds this morning. Cold windy and wet weather is not conducive with keeping juveniles healthy. The indoor school once again came into its own!
More stalls practice for the two year olds this morning. As ever, some jump more naturally than others.
There are six two year olds ready to run. They will be entered for races next week; we need to keep them apart. We will attempt to put as many factors in their favour as possible. Hopefully a couple could be up to winning first time but the stats show our second time out strike rate is significantly better than on debut.
Another day without runners. This feels like the calm before the storm as next week we look like being pretty busy. Sub Prime and Handcuff breezed this morning, I have not decided which will run on Saturday but it is probably more likely to be Sub Prime as he does not have an auction price to allow him into Maiden Auction races and Danetime's (his sire) median excludes him from most of the races next week.
Apologies for neglecting the news since Thursday.
Days of Pleasure won at Southwell making his owners Cavendish Star Racing very happy, so happy, it took them two days to get home!!
The Lambourn Open Day went well on Friday in spite of the weather. Hundreds of people lined our gallop which gave the two year olds a shock but went without any disastrous incidents.
We have had a weekend without runners and we have a quiet week ahead.
This morning I have entered Sub Prime and Handcuff in the two year old maiden at Kempton on Saturday. I will work them tomorrow, much could depend on the ballot marks!

Not a great day yesterday. Neither horse had much luck in running but they probably were not good enough anyway......badly placed by the trainer! This morning the early 2 year olds are doing some stalls practice. I hope to run our first juvenile at Kempton next Saturday, possibly a Danetime colt called Sub Prime....he is pretty quick. Thank you to Tracey Scott and Mrs Hunter for their e-mails, its nice to know there is somebody out there who appreciates my one finger typing.
